Junior Cricket

Western District Junior Cricket Club is a fantastic option for young cricketers in the ACT and surrounding regions, who are learning to play the game.

Junior Cricket at Wests is all about learning to play, developing a passion for the game and having fun within a friendly and positive community environment.

Woolworths Cricket Blast

(Ages 5-10)

Due to popular demand, Wests have two Blast Centre options available. The registration fee for the Cricket Blast Program is $125 for the season. To join after the Summer School Holidays, the cost is $95.

Option 1

Location: Kaleen Enclosed Oval (Turon Place)

Time: Friday evenings, 5pm to 7pm

Season dates: 24th October to 12th December 2025, 6th February to 13th March 2026

 

Option 2

Location: Aranda Oval (Banaga Place)

Time: Saturday mornings, 9am to 11am

Season dates: 25th October to 13th December 2025, 7th February to 14th March 2026

 

*No sessions during the summer school holidays.

WDCC Blast Centre

ACT Junior Competitions

(Ages 10-18)

Wests field multiple teams within the ACT Junior Cricket Competitions. Grading will be held at the Boorer Family Cricket Centre at Radford College on 7th & 14th September from 9am-1pm. Players must be registered to participate in the grading sessions. ​

 

The registration fees, inclusive of the 'National Registration Fee' for the ACT Junior Cricket Competition is $200. An 8% discount ($184) for each additional child registered using the same PlayHQ account.​​

Players are required to wear a Wests shirt, maroon pants and Wests playing cap. This season, coloured pants are required, as the competition is using white cricket balls. Shirts, pants, and caps are available for purchase via PlayHQ when registering. Training shirts are optional.
