About Us

Est. 1969

Western District Cricket Club (WDCC), based in Canberra, ACT, has a proud history of over 50 years playing within the ACT Premier Cricket competitions. The Club’s home grounds and training venues are located in the heart of the Belconnen region at Kaleen Oval, Jamison Oval and Aranda Oval.

With members from a range of diverse backgrounds, including junior boys and girls, and senior men and women, both amateur and professional players, we are the largest cricket club in Canberra and provide a community that welcomes everyone.

Our Club has a successful history both on and off the field. We were named ACT Spirit of Cricket Award winners for both the 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons and came away with six premierships last season.

WDCC is committed to growing and nurturing our next generation of cricketers. The establishment of the Wests Junior Winter Academy and the creation of a Junior Transition Manager role that works across both our Senior and Junior Sub-Committees, demonstrate our commitment to this.

All for one and one for all!
